Questions about this notice or your details: compete@thebackninegolf.com.
To enter its team in the Back Nine Battles, your Back Nine venue gives us your first and last name. Your tee is set by your division, not by you or your venue.
If you claim your spot using the link your venue sends you, you give us one email address yourself.
Only to run the Back Nine Battles season: putting you on your venue’s team, running matches and results, and reaching you about your spot.
We don’t use it for marketing, and we never sell it.
If you’d rather not be named, tell your venue. You just won’t be on its Battles roster.
The Back Nine team, the venue that entered you, and the companies that host our systems and deliver our messages, acting only on our instructions.
The roster is not published as a list. Your Player Locker is a public page showing your name, home location, rounds, and your B9 Bridge number once you’ve earned one.
Back Nine is based in the United States. Your details are sent to and stored there.
Your name stays on your venue’s Battles roster for the season, alongside its results.
If you’re taken off the roster, we delete your email straight away.
While you’re on the roster we keep the email you gave us when you claimed your spot. To have it deleted sooner, email compete@thebackninegolf.com.
Earlier this season some venues also told us whether a player played from a forward tee. We no longer use that, and we have deleted it.
You can ask to see or correct your details, or to come off the roster, by emailing compete@thebackninegolf.com.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle a request, and how to make a complaint.
If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in New Zealand, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
